How to identify topics receiving media attention.

In this article, you will learn how to use the “Topic view” tab of the NewsFlow module.

In order to identify which topics are receiving media attention, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the NewsFlow module.
  2. Click on the “Topic view” tab above the graph.
  3. Select the topic(s) you want to analyze.
  4. Click on “Update analysis.”
  5. The graph will update to show the number of articles tagging the topics selected per month.
  6. Click on any data point of a topic’s line to filter down the articles displayed underneath the graph, and focus only on articles mentioning that topic during that period.
  7. Explore the articles curated based on your selected filters. 
  8. Click on an article to open a new browser tab that will redirect to the original news website page hosting the article.
  9. To refine your search on one or several specific industries, use the bar underneath the graph to select the industries and click on “Refine” to update the list of news stories displayed.
